VFX PRODUCTION MANAGER

Masters of Reality is seeking an experienced VFX Production Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day running of projects across our studio. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards. Working closely with Producers, Supervisors, Artists, and Coordinators, this role is central to keeping our production pipeline running smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the scheduling, resourcing, and delivery of VFX projects from award to final delivery.

Create and maintain detailed production schedules, shot/asset trackers, and progress reports.

Partner with VFX Supervisors to ensure creative goals align with production deadlines.

Track project budgets, costs, and forecasts, flagging risks and variances early.

Lead, mentor, and support production staff (Coordinators, Assistants) to ensure efficient workflows.

Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the pipeline, escalating where necessary.

Ensure all project documentation, notes, and deliveries are accurate and up to date.

Support business development by providing accurate bids, breakdowns, and schedules.

REQUIREMENTS

3–5+ years of production experience in a VFX studio or closely related industry (film, episodic, advertising, animation).

Proven experience managing VFX projects, schedules, and budgets.

Strong understanding of VFX pipelines, workflows, and dependencies (e.g., assets, tracking, lighting, comp).

Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise between creative, technical, and client-facing teams.

Proficiency in production management tools (e.g., ShotGrid).

Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

Leadership experience, with a track record of motivating and guiding teams.


We’re looking for someone to join us full-time, starting immediately. Remuneration commensurate with experience.
